This policy covers the WorldChronic app and worldchronic.org. They are the same service and the same account.
Your email and password, whatever you choose to put on your profile (name, city, photo, favourite strains), what you post, upload, review and journal, which dispensaries and strains you look at, and basic technical data like device type and general location by region.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not give advertisers your name, your email, or your journal entries. Dispensaries will see aggregate numbers — how many people saw and clicked their placements — never a list of who.
Journal entries are yours. They only become visible to anybody else if you choose to share one to the feed. Effect data may be used in anonymous aggregate — "63% of members reported relief" — never tied to you.
Placements are matched using your activity on WorldChronic — the strains and shops you view — and not by tracking you across the wider internet. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
Every visitor passes a 21+ age gate (or 18+ with a valid medical card where that applies). We keep a record that verification happened, as the law requires. Your answer is remembered on your own device for 30 days so you are not asked on every page.
On managed cloud infrastructure in the United States, encrypted in transit. Payment card details for advertisers are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
You can delete your account and its data yourself, at any time, from inside WorldChronic: Profile → My Account → Delete my account. It is immediate and permanent.
Full instructions, and what to do if you cannot sign in, are at worldchronic.org/delete-account.html.
If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act gives you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Use the routes above or email us and we will handle it.
Cannabis use can affect somebody's job, their housing or their family. We collect the minimum needed to run the community, we keep journals private, and we do not disclose member information except where we are legally compelled to.
WorldChronic is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anybody under 21 (or under 18 with a medical card where that applies). If we learn that we have, we delete it.
If we change anything that matters, we will update the date at the top and say so in the app.
